Jesse Morreale, the veteran Denver promoter behind Nobody in Particular Presents and, more recently, Ava Presents, is putting the finishing touches on a years-long effort to bring Colorado Springs' historic City Auditorium back to life — and he's chosen AXS Tickets as the venue's ticketing partner.

The 100-year-old building, which Morreale says hosted everyone from Willie Nelson to Ozzy Osbourne to the Foo Fighters over the decades before it went dark, is undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation through a public-private partnership between Morreale's company and the city, which owns the building.

"I like to say that it's probably the last remaining standing building in Colorado with a history of artists who performed there that's equivalent to Red Rocks," Morreale said. "I know for some people that's like, I shouldn't say things like that because Red Rocks is Red Rocks, but it really does have a history."
