A California man has filed a class action lawsuit against Live Nation Entertainment and several other defendants, alleging he was unlawfully barred from attending a female-only rave event in Los Angeles on the basis of his sex and gender identity.

Steve Frye, an Orange County resident, filed the complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court on April 4, 2026, targeting Live Nation, event promoter New V5 Group (doing business as "Sorry Papi"), The Hollywood Palladium's parent company Crescent Heights, and two individual employees. The suit claims the defendants violated California's Civil Rights Act and Civil Code § 51.5 by hosting an event — billed as the "Sorry Papi Tour – The All Girl Party at Hollywood Palladium" — that explicitly excluded non-female attendees.
