Veteran booking agent Jon Moskowitz has joined Pyramid Entertainment, bringing more than 20 years of live entertainment experience to the agency.
Moskowitz, a Greenwich Village native, spent the past 15 years at Universal Attractions Agency. There he worked with a roster that included George Clinton, Ludacris, the Black Eyed Peas, UB40, Flo Rida, Rick Ross, Nelly, Ja Rule and Ashanti, Trey Songz, Mya, Floetry, Morris Day and Sheila E., as well as the I Love the 90s tour.
“I’m excited to begin this next chapter with Pyramid Entertainment,” Moskowitz said. “Pyramid has a long and storied history, and I am looking forward to joining the house that Sal, Seth, Doug and Virginia have built.”
Sal Michaels founded Pyramid in 1988 and remains its owner and CEO. Michaels got his start in the 1970s disco era, when he signed Gloria Gaynor. He went on to represent Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, Rick James, Gladys Knight, KC & the Sunshine Band and the Commodores. Today he represents Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Kool & the Gang along with dozens of other legacy acts.
“Jon is a proven and accomplished agent with many years of experience, and we are glad to have him working on behalf of Pyramid,” Michaels said. “His tenacity, outgoing personality and expertise in this industry will surely prove to be assets to our company.”
Pyramid partner and agent Seth Cohen, a 25-year veteran of the company, said he has known Moskowitz for nearly two decades. “We’ve always seen eye to eye on how business should be conducted,” Cohen said. “I am excited to have him on my team and look forward to the years ahead.”
