Top Democrats in Congress are set to put the spotlight back on the growing controversy surrounding the federal government’s settlement with Live Nation Entertainment and Ticketmaster, announcing a bicameral hearing next week aimed at examining what lawmakers are calling a “corrupt” Department of Justice deal that weakened antitrust enforcement against the live entertainment giant.

On Monday, May 18, Rep. Jamie Raskin, the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Richard Blumenthal, ranking member of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, will lead a spotlight forum titled “Corruption Takes Center Stage: How the Live Nation-Ticketmaster Settlement Threatens Antitrust Enforcement.”
