Less than two weeks after announcing it was closing its doors for good, Fargo concert promoter Jade Presents, LLC has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, putting hard numbers on the collapse of one of the Upper Midwest's longest-running independent promotion companies.

The voluntary petition, filed June 6 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of North Dakota, shows a company deeply underwater: nearly $2.9 million in liabilities stacked against just $393,000 in assets — a roughly 7-to-1 gap that leaves little room for creditors to recover much of anything.
